Up for trade is my 1940's Astin Spillman case Gilt Dialed chronograph with a Valjoux 22 ticking away freshly serviced. This is just a stunning example of a Spillman Chrono. Beautiful original and untouched Gilt two tone dial with original hands with matching patina with all lume intact. Case might have been lightly polished in the past, but I don't think so because its got all the right angles in the right places. Original pushers and crown. This is the real 38mm case (without crown) with full markings on the back and the dust cover is in place under the snap back case (less common than the screw back case). I just had this serviced and its running great. Selling on a high quality German Milanese strap. I always wanted one of these rare pieces and I'm just not bonding with it the way I had thought I would. I guess 40mm is my sweet spot although this wears large and has killer presence. The watch dial is branded Astin, but the movement is unsigned. While I'm not bonding with it, it still wears great with a suit so I'm in no rush to let it go. I am not looking for a sale at this point and would rather trade (as I often do) for something of equal or greater value. These are pretty rare and this is all original in amazing condition with a black gilt dial. I am not looking for trades of multiple lower value watches, Vintage Chronographs at least 39mm or greater, Rolex and Omega considered. Prefer vintage unless a very cool contemporary piece.
