FS: Vintage Certina DS two-tone copper dial - GF bracelet

Hello CT,

We all know Certina. Swiss brand that developed some of the greatest, in my opinion, cases for the era. They created the DS line (meaning ‘Double Security’), and this watch is one of them.

Here we have a really early Certina DS for sale. You may be asking yourself why it doesn’t have the well-known turtle case back, right? Well, that’s because it’s one of the first models and Certina didn’t have the patent, yet. That’s why you can see in the inner case back ‘patent pending’.

It features the, also early, caliber 25-45, fully automatic and working as a gem. The case is in good condition, likely it has been polished before, but it still maintains the original shap and sharpness we all love.

The dial is captivating: it has a beautifully patinated bronze, giving this watch a trully vintage look. The correct period bracelet, signed Gay-Freres (GF), has a good amount of stretch.

The crown is original and correct to the watch, as well as the hands.

It’s your opportunity to grab a beautiful piece of history and aesthetics.
