FS: Vintage Rolex 1601 'Polar' dial with jubilee

Hello Ct,

Rolex needs no introduction. They have produced some of the most relevant watches throughout history, and this one doesn’t fall behind.

This Rolex reference 1601 is rather special. Although this reference is common, this configuration isn’t. The white, polar dial, is specially rare. If you look closely, the dial has some damage between 9 and 10. Other than that, this particular piece is in great condition: sharp lugs, nicely working movement, crisp and thick tritium plots and correct screw-down crown.

We date this watch from the early 1970s, particularly from 1972. Therefore, this watch has no quickset function. The bracelet is a later replacement (but original), from the 1980s, and will fit a wrist of up to 16.5cm in circunference including the watch case.

*note the damage on the side of the dial, between 9 and 10*
