Re: FSOT: MID 80's TUTIMA MIL-ISSUE CHRONOGRAPH - LEMANIA 51

Sold!

: For sale or trade, I have a mid 80's mil-issue Tutima Chrono in
: steel. I believe this is one of the earlier releases of the
: watch given the fact that the case is steel, the Tutima logo is
: an older style, and the case back is in an earlier style as well
: (it's also marked W. Germany, so you know it's 80's). The dial
: is marked "military" and it has the Bund markings on
: the back.

: The good: The Lemania 5100 inside works well. Starts and stops
: crisply and keeps relatively good time (a slight loss over a
: week). The tritium still has a slight glow.

: The bad (or maybe good too): The watch has some pretty heavy patina
: in the form of scratches and scrapes. I happen to think they add
: to the overall look of the watch, but if you're into NOS things,
: this isn't it. That said, you know this hasn't been refinished.
: The chrono minute hand is slightly discolored at the tip, though
: it's more visible in photos than in person. The start/stop
: pusher is slightly loose...likely needs a new spring, not
: something that I found bothering me as it's only slight.

: I'm looking for $1,600 if you're interested in buying it. I'm happy
: to trade for Sinn chronographs, "Poor Man's Heuers",
: etc... The watch comes with a bund strap, Tutima inner and outer
: boxes, no papers

: if you're interested PM me or email me at zach (at) wornandwound
