FS: MIMO (Manufacture Internationale de Montres Or) “DH” wri

Selling a Deutsches Heer (DH), Swiss made wristwatch from the early 1940’s from the company MIMO (Manufacture Internationale de Montres Or). This is the company that bought out Gerrard Perreguex in the early 20’s and later assumed that name which it uses today. The watch has an all stainless steel 35mm diameter case (37mm with crown) with stainless steel screwback, outer marking is “D 0246 H”. Case has thick fixed lugs. These watches were ordered by the German Wehrmacht from Swiss watch manufacturers in the early 40’s. The watch has an AS (Anton Schild) 1130 15 jewel movement shielded for magnetism, and shock resistant. The case has a graceful, detailed case which reminds me of an Omega WWW made for the other side during WWII. The watch runs accurately and radium dial still glows through the night. The dial shows some oxidation on the black painted surfaced, and one of the luminious areas in the numbers “8” and “11” have fallen off. $500 plus shipping.
