FS: 1965 Breitling Navitimer Ref. 806 Twin Jet

Hi all,
Before the details of the listing let me briefly introduce myself as I have been a long time lurker and with my first sales post I am aware of the recent rampant fraud on the forum. My name is Tom Joy, owner of luxuwrist.com, a Boston, MA based online broker and dealer. I have been buying and selling on various watch forums for a number of years and have plenty of references if requested. Now, on to the watch!

Up for sale is a great 1965 Breitling Navitimer with the “twin jet” dial with small subdials. This is an excellent example of the classic reference 806 Navitimer.

Condition is per the photos and as follows:

Case: Excellent 42mm stainless steel case with no major dings, dents, or deep scratches as shown in the photos. The original chamfers on the lugs are still present. Crown is original correct signed “B” crown and pushers start, stop, and reset the chronograph smoothly.

Bezel: Original polished stainless steel bezel with internal slide rule in excellent condition.

Dial/Hands: Original black dial with twin jet logo in excellent condition with all text present and no damage to the dial. Hands are original stick hands with minor blemishes to the paint near the center. The markers and hands appear to have been relumed.

Caseback: Original solid caseback with serial number engraved on the inside. Serial number is 1021XXX dating the watch to 1965.

Crystal: Acrylic crystal with no chips, cracks, or deep scratches.

Movement: Original manual winding Venus caliber 178 column wheel chronograph in excellent condition. Watch was just serviced in March 2015 and keeps excellent time. All functions work as they should.

Bracelet/Strap: New Old Stock vintage Breitling strap with Breitling Twin Jet buckle.

Accessories: None.
