Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
Up for grabs is a stunning AMI (Aeronautica Militare Italiana) 1000 series 510.543 Heuer chronograph, with the robust Lemania 5100 movement.
This is a 'civilian', or non issued example, built & serviced by the ex-head of the Heuer watchmaking dept. who headed up the dept during the late 60's & 70's (I believe), via our own main-man Heuerista David D.
It has a brush finished case and a plain non-stamped caseback. Case and caseback were sourced from Sinn. The dial, outer dial ring and handset were NOS Heuer, Heuer screw down crown and pushers + new gaskets.
Dial and hand lume is a beautiful cream colour.
It is in stunning condition, I'd say 99%, with a German made aftermarket bracelet - not a cheap job!
There is a tiny pin prick (and I mean tiny) mark at the 1 o'clock part of the case - you can't see it in normal use. This is a rare and extraordinary example - I'd be as bold to say that it's the best example known anywhere.
It's running absolutely perfectly, and keeps astonishingly good time - I'd say with COSC regs. When I bought it is had been successfully tested to WR 50m (or 40, I can't remember!), and has a screw down crown.
