Hi all,
For sale is my beloved Heuer Monza
It's a superb example. I think what sets this one apart is the PVD finish.. it doesn't have any chips or scratches or base metal showing through, but it has a beautiful even wear all over, and has an almost deep gunmetal finish in certain light on the exposed parts of the case.
The dial is wonderful, with a really nice orangey-tan patina to the lume. Crystal is near perfect, there are a few micro swirls, but a very light polish and they will disappear. Pushers are like new, as is the crown, and as a bonus is Heuer signed (I know most of these had a plain crown).
There is a hairline mark on the tachy ring (between 130 & 140 on the tachy scale), it's pretty much invisible, and it doesn't effect any of the white numerals.
Red chrono hand is 1/5 sec 'out' at the 12 o'clock position.
I had it fully serviced May 2013, and only worn it 2-3 times since. For some reason the crown is stiff when changing the time.. after a few very gentle turns it frees back up, but if too heavy-handed, is slips slightly. It winds perfectly, keeps great time, and the chrono all works as it should.
Pics below… The photos on the white background I took yesterday on my phone, with no filters or editing.
