FSOT: Omega Speedmaster Mark IV ref. 176.009

Hello gentlemen, here comes a freshly restored-to-minty Omega Speedmaster Mark IV, ref. 176.009 from the early 1970's that's recently gone through the complete spa treatment in Germany at the Swatch Group in Pforzheim.
The watch has been worn only once in the house after its restoration, and then moved to the bank safe. It's got most of the 24 official Omega warranty still valid.

This is in my opinion a wonderful and important watch, which encapsulates all its features in a sleek form to become an 'elegant toolwatch' - perfect for all occasions from a hike in the mountains to a gala dinner.

BASIC FEATURES
Large stainless steel
Re-issue stainless steel bracelet, with almost no wear.
Automatic movement with ca. 45 hr power reserve.
Central minute and second chrono hands.
24-hr "sunk" subdial at 9 o'clock below the continuous second.
Day window with quick-set
Waterproof to 3 atm (though not recently tested nor recommended)
Mineral glass with tachy bezel printed on the inside

DETAILS
The hooded-lugs case has a 3-finish pattern with sunburst on the top, polished on the edges and satin on the sides - a true work of art.
The case back has the seamonster logo and the Speedmaster inscription.

The dial is a two-subregister - typical and unique of Omega cal. 1040-1041 and Lemania 1340 - where the subdial at 9 o'clock is hosting both the continuous seconds and a 24-hr arrow indicator sunk beneath the dial. The movement is one of the first integrated chrono movements in history, released by Omega in 1970 and still in use by high-end brand in the Swatch group.
Like the more famous Lemania 5100, this calibre has central minute and second chrono hands that greatly enhance readibility. It has the famous 'diamond' hand with luminous triangle for chrono second, just like the Moonwatch.

The watch is signed with Omega's logo on dial, crown, clasp and movement.

COSMETIC CONDITIONS
Almost perfect conditions overall.
Case: perfect - completely restored by Omega at service. The starburst finish on the case top is amazing - really like new.
Bracelet: I can see nothing but there may be a few very light hairlines on the clasp.
Pushers and crown: perfect (substituted by Omega at service)
Dial: perfect (substituted by Omega at service)
Hands: perfect (substituted by Omega at service)
Glass: perfect (substituted by Omega at service)

The lume on dial and hands of this watch is great, it really glows in the dark and keeps a vivid light for hours.

PERFORMANCE
Working flawlessly and keeping perfect time. All chrono hands neatly resetting to zero, with pushers operating crisply.

HISTORY
Completely overhauled by Omega in Germany a few months ago with complete service movement and substitution of glass, dial, hands, pushers, seals, gaskets and complete restoration of the case to its original specifications.

Coming with Omega's Customer Service red box and all bracelet additional links as well as all service paperwork.
Many more additional hi-resolution photos available upon request.

Asking 2500 EUR nett to me, plus insured shipping at cost anywhere (pls ask for quotation). Payment on my bank account. Deal within the EU / Schengen space preferred but not a must.
Would evaluate trades only with the following:
- Omega Speedmaster Professional hand-wound with hexalite glass and full metal caseback - i.e. the standard Moonwatch.
- Heuer Autavia 11630 in Viceroy colours with "thick" font on the dial for name and shield.
with cash up or down depending on the model and its conditions.

References available here and on other fora.
Many thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Fabrizio
