FS: A pair of vintage Eterna 'Super Kontiki' dive watches.

Hi All,

After a recent spate of overspending I find myself needing to sell a few, very choice watches to re-balance the books.

Here are a pair of vintage Eternamatic ‘Super Kontiki’ dive watches.

These Super Kontikis are from the mid to late 60’s and are in exceptional condition for their age.

Both watches use the Automatic Eterna cal. 1424UD movement and are working perfectly. Both are approx 39mm without crown.

The black dialled watch retains its original lumed plots.
Many I’ve seen have been re-lumed and lost the ‘6’, ‘9’, ‘12’ embossed into the lume.
The original hands have a small loss of lume and the watch has had a replacement crown.

Whilst it’s clearly a ‘used’ watch, the case is in great condition and looks to be un-polished with sharp bevels.
The gold ‘Kontiki’ raft inset into the back has little wear and retains much of its detail.
This watch has the very rare original de-compression bezel marked in feet which has faded to a dark grey.

The white dialled watch is ultra rare – I’ve only ever seen a couple of examples previously for sale.
The original dial shows some loss of lume on the plots but nonetheless is in super condition for a watch circa 50 years old.
The original hands are in excellent vintage condition.

The case is previously polished but in great condition.
The gold ‘Kontiki’ raft inset into the back has little wear and retains much of its detail.
It has the very rare de-compression bezel marked in metres, the bezel is in exceptional condition.

These early Eternamatic Super Kontiki diver watches are very hard to find, particularly in this condition.
The photo’s exaggerate scratches and flaws and really do not do the watches justice, they are both much nicer in the real world.

For the black dialled watch I’m looking for GBP £1800 net to me, includes UK shipping.
(US $ 2570, Euro 2270) International shipping by negotiation.

For the white dialled watch I’m looking for GBP £2000 net to me, includes UK shipping.
(US $ 2850, Euro 2520) International shipping by negotiation.

I would sell the pair for UK £3600 net to me, , includes UK shipping.
(US $ 5140, Euro 4540) International shipping by negotiation.

A rare opportunity to obtain a pair of very rare and desirable vintage but daily wearers.
