FS: Wakmann Racetimer ‘1960’ Flyback Chronograph

I have for sale this Wakmann 1960 Racetimer which I had advertised as a non runner back in January. Since then I have managed to find an ‚NOS‘ replacement movement and the watch is running like a champion with its new heart installed.
Excerpt from Torsten Nagent’s website.
‚The RaceTimer 1960 was created to build a bridge between the long watchmaker-history of WAKMANN and the eventfull era of car-racing. It was created to cherish historical events like oldtimer races and historical
All its features are geared to the needs of those events. This great historical watch does not only combine time-display, overall racing-time and time difference in its multifunctional dial – it also shows the speed of the driving cars.
While the overall time tracker is used to show the racing time passed by (in minutes and hours), the independent second counter can be used to calculate the time-difference between several cars. Race marshals and visitors use the Tachymetre to measure the speed of driving cars.
All you need to do is to reset the counter when the race starts. Measuring of time-distance and speed does not affect overall time measuring! Push the upper right button to start measuring with the big seconds-counter. Push again to stop measuring.
The second pusher provides flyback functionality to measure time-distances of several cars. This flyback is not only helpfull, it is something special. Every push resets it and the hand is back on zero (twelve) without the need to start measuring again, the counter restarts again automaticly. You dont lose any time in reset and restart. One push and measuring goes on – on the fly!
The 3rd great feature is the ability to measure the speed of a racing car. All you need is a track section of 100m. Push the upper button twice (start and end of 100m distance) and the watch shows the current speed of the car.‘
Case: Chunky stainless steel case with a few swirls which can be polished out. 40mm without crown / 44mm with crown, 50mm lug tip to lug tip, 20mm between lugs, 13mm thick.
Crown / Pushers: Original chunky stainless steel crown and pushers function well with no sticking.
Crystal: Sapphire crystal with no marks.
Dial: White dial with silver sub-dials in immaculate condition.
Hands: Hour and minute hands in Superluminova, subsidiary hands in very good condition slight paint loss on the seconds hand.
Movement: ‘NOS’ Baumgartner 598 pin lever 17 jewel with flyback function, keeping good time and with excellent power reserve.
Caseback: Stainless steel caseback with ‘WAKMANN CHRONOGRAPGH 001’ engraved (note this is #1 of 99 produced).
Strap / Bracelet: The watch came to me on the original unworn lack and red contrasting leather strap with stainless steel deployment buckle which will fit up to an 8” wrist. I purchased the ‘milanese’ mesh bracelet which is a beautiful fit and finish and very comfortable to wear.
No box or papers.
Looking for offers over $650 with leather strap. Or alternately Milanese bracelet for an additional $100. Shipping to be discussed.
