Re: FSOT: Heuer Autavia 1163V (box, papers)

Hello Luis,

Thanks again for your input.
I really do feel embarrassed and completely put on the spot. Thanks about that!

Anyway, here it goes again;
The description has been completely honest and I have not tried to misinterpret what I am offering in anyway whatsoever.

The buckle is a more modern Heuer re-issue and that is clearly stated in the description.

The watch was not bought as a complete set and this is clearly understood by pretty much everyone who can read when I clearly state that I personally have bought the box and the papers (which by the way are described as open) from members of this forum.

Both the box and the booklet are offered with my sincerest belief that they are genuine Heuer products and I have even gone to lengths of actually performing as much research as I can just to make sure that I am offering something that is not counterfeited. Verification links are again included in the description.

As soon as you asked for further pictures, I obliged since I do not believe there is anything to hide.

If there was anything to hide I would not even bother engaging in a public debate like this and wasting not only our time, but also the time of all the members who are actually browsing for their next find.

Please also notice that I SPECIFICALLY stated that I am PREDOMINANTLY looking for a trade since I am a collector and I am not after a quick buck but rather a someone who just wants to enjoy watches as I would like to hope that most people following this forum are.

Furthermore, it is again clearly stated that I am looking for offers AROUND £3000. Nothing stops someone who is really interested to forward me what they believe to be a fair price for what I am offering.

Anyway enough with the saga. I can see this one remaining in my collection after all of this.

Just for some further info though, these are the prices these watches have been going for:

http://chronocentric.com/forums/chronotrader/index.cgi?md=read;id=50769
This was offered for €2900 head only, condition not even close to mine

http://chronocentric.com/forums/chronotrader/index.cgi?md=read;id=50396
This was offered for $3200 head only, have a look at the subdial hands

http://chronocentric.com/forums/chronotrader/index.cgi?md=read;id=49725
€2570 plain strap, plain buckle

http://chronocentric.com/forums/chronotrader/index.cgi?md=read;id=47001
$2850 head only

http://chronocentric.com/forums/chronotrader/index.cgi?md=read;id=46878
€2900 head only

http://chronocentric.com/forums/chronotrader/index.cgi?md=read;id=46812
$4450, amazing condition, box and buckle no papers

And just so no one feels disappointed, some more close ups of the famous now booklet. If someone would like to actually determine the quality of the printing, trimming etc...

Finally, my sincerest apologies for all of this to everyone who might be reading this post.

Please feel free to propose a trade or shoot me an offer.

As a closing remark; Thanks to Jeff and to the people behind the forum who have made it possible to share our passion and thanks for the space.

Kind regards,
Aris

: Hi Aris,

: Thanks for adding more pictures. Actually, if you want to make sure
: the booklet is correct, you can check this thread on
: Chronocentric about booklets authenticity:

: Also, let me mention that the beta (B) buckle is not original to
: the watch. The legitimate one for the Viceroy is the sun buckle.
: Believe me when I say that I don't want to put you on the spot. I'm
: just confused as I think the price you're asking is OK for a
: full "original Viceroy package" and that is not
: exactly what you're offering.

: Best regards,
: Luis
