Hi all, up for sale is a Tag Heuer Monaco re-edition Ref. CS2111.
In 1998, Tag Heuer decided to re-issue the Monaco and stay as true to the original as possible; retained were the acrylic crystal, mixed finish sharp square case, and automatic chronograph movement, although the crown had switched sides. What we have here is one of these original re-issues in the black dial configuration and in excellent ready to wear condition.
Condition is per the photos and as follows:
Case: 39mm stainless steel case in excellent condition with only minor surface wear as shown in the photos. Polished areas show a great luster and the original deep grained brushing is crisp. Case surfaces have sharp edges and transitions. There is a small nick near 1 o'clock on the case visible in the photos.
Dial/Hands: Original black dial with polished applied hour markers and white text, ,with date at 6 o'clock. The dial and hands are perfect with no flaws.
Crystal: Original acrylic crystal in very good condition with only very minor surface wear. There are no major scratches, cracks, or chips in the crystal.
Caseback: Excellent and preserved caseback that still has the original sticker. All engravings are easily readable and crisp.
Movement: Caliber 17 automatic chronograph movement (ETA ebauche) in excellent condition with all functions working as they should. Chronograph starts, stops, and resets to zero. Timekeeping is excellent although the service history is unknown.
Strap: Excellent rubber rally style strap with SS buckle. The original black leather strap (which has a small tear) with the original signed buckle is also included.
Accessories: This Monaco comes with its original brown leather Heuer branded watch box and the original leather strap with signed buckle. No other accessories are included.
