FSOT: Zodiac Sea Wolf: very early example from 1953

Here for sale a very rare and very early Sea Wolf from 1953, the year of its introduction. It comes with a rare white vintage SUB strap that I think complement the watch very well.

The automatic movement has been serviced from the previous owner last year and it works just fine, keeping time very well. As correct for these very early Sea Wolves it is the AS1624 without the hacking system.

The case is crisp with nice and sharp hedges, correctly signed crown, writings on the case-back still all legible: importantly the snap-on waterproof case-back (patented especially for the Sea Wolf) is guaranteed up to 10atm, being this watch one of the very first Sea Wolves. Soon after its introduction the Sea Wolf’s case became guaranteed up to 20atm.

Very nice dial with amazingly warm lumes (the only defect being a small chip in the lume at 3 o’clock)

Original and period correct green-ish lumed hands WITHOUT the vein in the middle as also correct for these very early Sea Wolves (hour hand is perfect, minute hand I think might have been partially relumed once in the past).

The rotating bezel is in good condition, with some sign of wear on the hedges and some small scratches but in real life and dimension it looks good and it has a perfect tension when rotating it.

Lots of pictures below.
To summarize the perfect and nearly impossible to find early Sea Wolf with ALL the correct characteristics typical of these very early examples: 10atm case, no vein-in-the-middle hands, pre-hacking AS1624 movement.

Selling because my collection focus is shifting to different time-pieces and something needs to go to make space to new watches.

Watch based in London, UK if you want to see it in person. International shipping included if my asking price is met.

I am accepting offers in the region of 1.1k EUR (or GBP or USD equivalent).
I can also consider trades with 1930's to 1950's chronographs, especially Gallet, Mido, Universal Geneve. Depending on value we can adjust the difference in money one way or the other.
