For sale from my personal collection is one of the best examples I´ve ever seen of a 9420 Tudor Big Block. The watch was purchased from the son of the original first owner which had it tucked away in a safe for the better part of 30 years.

What sets this one apart is the fact that it is a near-mint Unpolished Full-set piece.The lugs and crown guards are razor sharp, original brushed finish on top is mint,perfect polished chamfers. Flawless Dial with amazingly nice patinated lume.

Box, Leather Wallet, Warranty documents dated 1978 (two years after the original release of the big block in 1976) and even the original caseback sticker which is still intact.

Even more exciting is the fact that this is a pre-Oysterdate dial Big Block. The very first series of the 94XX Big Block range only had Tudor on the dial without the Oysterdate subscript and is corroborated by the dated Guarantee which mentions a selling date of 1978. Making for a cleaner look.

The watch is on its original Rolex bracelet. A 78360 with 589 endlinks and a ´C´ stamped buckle which is correct for a 1977/78 production date.

•Condition: Near-mint unpolished condition. A minor amount of oxidation on the hands visible under certain lighting. Some tiny scratches on the bottom left lug. Minor scratch on the bakelite bezel near the 12. Perfect polished chamfers. Razor sharp lugs, perfect brushed top. Flawless Dial with amazingly nice patinated lume.
Box has some damage to the pleather covering.

•Mouvement: Tudor Valjoux 7750 (which I chose not to photograph as I don´t want to compromise the integrity of the watch and it's fragile joints. And certainly not scratch the caseback sticker.

•Case: Stainless Steel with original Rolex Crown and screw-down pushers

•Dimensions: 42mm with crownguards x 48mm x 20mm lugs x 14mm high

•Caseback: Intact factory-engraving with the original caseback sticker intact

•Dial: Flawless pre-Oysterdate dial with evenly patinated lume. Panda configuration.

•Strap/bracelet: Original Rolex bracelet. A 78360 with 589 endlinks and a ´C´ stamped buckle which is correct for a 1977/78 production date.

•Service: Unknown Service History, All functions working.
