FS: Nivada-Grenchen Chronomaster Aviator SeaDiver

Up for sale a fine example of Nivada Grenchen’s Chronomaster Aviator Seadiver, powered by a column-wheel Valjoux 92 movement.

This example is from the mid-1960s, with the first generation style. It has a matte black dial with black sub-dials, with the chrono’s minute counter’s first five minutes in red (used for the countdown of a sailing regatta).

The case
, all stainless steel, is in original wear condition consistent with a sports watch. It bears scratches (the main being “fool marks” on the caseback) and a minor shocks, the main being on the lower left lug (see picture): nothing that detracts. It has not been excessively polished and the bevels on the lugs are quite crisp. Caseback has all the correct engravings and Nivada logo. The winding crown is the original, signed with Nivada logo. Original and showing some wear, the bezel sit and turns quite firmly and precisely in both directions. Chrono pushers are original and in fine condition.

The original dial is in good condition and evenly aged, with faded tritium markers (but still present). The dial bears no major/noticeable spots or scratches. The hands are the original arrow hands, with faded tritium lume. The chrono and seconds hands are all original and correct for this model and show no signs of corrosion. The plexi, a replacement, is in excellent condition.

The movement is a Valjoux 92 caliber, recently cleaned and timed by my watchmaker, has been well taken care of and shows no discoloration or excessive toolmarks. The watch winds and sets smoothly, all chronograph functions are operational and work well. The power reserve is within original specs (36-40 hours when fully wound).
My price : 1450 euros, shipping included in EU. International shipping outside EU at my discretion.

A few homemade snaps (I'm no professional):

Questions welcome. I'm a private collector based in Paris, France.
