Re: FS: Vintage 1962 Omega Speedmaster - 2998-5

What about a tagged pictures ?

: Here is your chance to get a very nice and honest 2998 Speedy. I
: had the watch evaluated by an Omega enthusiast and here are his
: comments.
: 1) Hands - Seems to be correct.
: 2) Bezel - Seems to be correct, DON bezel
: 3) Case - In good condition but slightly polished.
: 4) Caseback - I am assuming there is no historical relevance to the
: engraving on the back, this will also deduct value from the
: watch since many people prefer no engraving.
: 5) Crown - Not correct crown. This has been replaced at some point.
: 6) Dial - Looks to be correct, and in good shape. Lume is not
: fantastic, but it seems great for an original untouched dial.
: 7) Movement - Serial is in the correct range for a 2998.

: My only comment to the evaluation is that the engraving on the back
: I really like.....puts some history and perspective when the
: watch was given by a father to his son in 1962.
: The movement winds very smoothly and keeps great time. Hands all
: rest properly.
: I welcome questions and or comments via email. If I stated anything
: incorrectly, please let me know
