: 3647S - 1st execution on mint condition;

: Introduced in 1963, the Carrera line was designed by Jack Heuer,
: who wanted to make a simple, very useful, reliable and readable
: chronograph. The Carrera name goes back to the Carrera
: Panamericana, a legendary car race through Mexico. Probably the
: top seller Heuer’s wristwatches, the Carrera’s shape is so
: iconic with its special mirror-polished lapidated lugs. The
: overall layout is very pure and still very attractive today.

: Ref. 3647S was in Heuer’s catalogs from 1964 to approx. 1970. The
: earliest two-register Carreras, ref. 3647 were powered by a
: Valjoux 92 movement, such as the present watch, in the Heuer
: catalogs and advertisements of the day they were called «
: Carrera 45 » models as the chronograph minute register is
: graduated for 45 minutes.

: The water-resistant tonneau-shaped case is bearing the correct
: large unsigned crown, screw down case back, round chronograph
: pushers and plexy glass with inclined edge;

: The serial number is correctly engraved between the lugs at the 6
: o'clock and this one being a 1st excution has the very big
: numbers engraved;

: The movement bridge and case back are signed « Heuer-Leonidas»,
: due to the Heuer purchase of Leonidas and the merger that took
: effect on January 1, 1964.

: The dial bearing the « T » for tritium, confirms that this watch
: was made during or after 1964, as the watches in Heuer’s
: catalogs at the time were illustrated without the « T » on the
: dial.

: The watch is set with an attractive uniform sunburst silvered dial
: (starting around 1964-1965) with engine-turned registers and
: correct thin, beveled baton markers, luminous baton hands and
: luminous dots. A very pleasant and cool watch to look at and to
: wear.

: The present watch works just fine as it was full serviced last
: year;

: Dial & Hands are beautifull with original lume and great
: patina;

: Case seems not polished or it could have been only slightly
: detailed (look the pictures to confirm) as it's very sharp;

: Comes on a beautifull BO bracelet not signed prepared by Abel
: Court.
