FS: Seiko 6138-8000 baby panda 23 jewels

Selling a rare and hard to find "baby panda" that was produced in September 1971 only for the Japanese Domestic Market. The dial, hands, pushers, crystal, case, crown and bezel are all oringal to the watch.

Dial
A very light creamy patina has aged naturally and nicely on the dial but in bright daylight, it may not look that noticeable but definitely it's there..If this were to be a Rolex or an Omega, the patina will be very much welcome and no doubt the value will be commanding! But in this case, this is just a Seiko and I'm not sure what collectors would think. I shall leave this to the professionals to decide :)

Case

Case is unpolished with very light scratches here and there, but overall the case is pretty reasonable condition to me. The pics showing that the crystal has one light scratch between the 11 & 12 marker and just to confirm that it's not on the dial.

Movement

The 6138B movement with 23 jewels is running reliably well and quite accurate. After 5 days of observation, its about +-one minute plus difference. which is pretty good for a vintage watch. It has a reasonable power reserve too if fully worn. Just 2 days ago, my watchmaker has helped to open up to blow off any particles and the movement was found to be clean but sadly I have forgotten to take some pics on this.

Chronograph resets sharply and crisply back to 12 without any issues. Pushers are also in good condition. Kanji day date is working fine too.

Bracelt is a Seiko Sports 5 type which is not original to this model but goes pretty well with this panda:)

Looking to sell this beauty at $1,180 that come with (worldwide delivery & tracking / Paypal payment preferred which 5% fee added)

Kelvin
