FS: Omega 2512-cal 266- Waffle Dial -1953- Serviced and Warranty

Dear Chrontrader readers,

Up for sale to day is my rare Omega reference 2512-7 "Waffle Dial" mechanical movement 266 dated January 1953.
Some call it "Calatrava" in relation to its lines particularly purified.

Omega signed on movement, case back,crown,dial and buckle !

The case, in superb shape, is gold plated (80 microns !!) and signed Michel on the case back. My watch measures 35 mm, crown included and less than 10mm in thickness: ultra-slim and very large dial opening are the main features of this model.
(See photos on my "respectable" wrist of 21 cm ..).

Magnificent and rare dial type "honeycomb" difficult to shoot in reason of light réflexion on dial .

Indexes and gold dauphine hands as well as the Omega logo are applied and irise on the dial.

Gold seconds hand in sub-dial and registration “Swiss Made” at 6 o'clock.

The 266 movement is part of the famous Omega 30 line. This is one of the first evolution of 30T2 or 265.
Unless there is an error this caliber has an additional ruby on the center wheel hence its name: 266.
This movement is one of the best hand-wound calibres ever produced and won in the 50/60 years many chronometry contests.
The watch has been fully serviced by a certified Omega Vintage watchmaker (Swatch group) and the warranty is active for 1 year since July 6, 2016.
Perfect time and 46-hour power reserve (memory).
