FS: Britix 1950s Landeron 48 Chronograph

Hi all,

For sale is a interesting Britix 1950s Landeron 48 dual register Chronograph. The watch is in very honest and original condition, with the exception of the crown possibly (you be the judge in the pictures). The watch has some interesting history as Britix as a company is hard to pin down but has been, in a few places online, been mentioned as being a part of the Breitling umbrella of the time. I cannot speak for this exactly but this chronograph does have some resemblance to the Breitling "Premier" landeron 48 chronographs of the 50s as well as many Wakmann chronographs. Note: the watch will come head only with only one spring bar because I simply cant find the other one.

For this I am asking $200 obo

Case:
The base metal, plated case is showing its age with scratches and discoloring. The case measures a conservative 34mm but I believe it to be near 35mm really.

Dial:
The dial has developed a very nice looking creamy patina over the years with some discoloration (particularly near the edges) but remains very legible.

Hands:
The handset is original to the watch. Hour, Minute, Second, and Chronograph minute hands all shine with their "blued steel" coating while the chronograph seconds hand shows vibrantly its red coloring. The only flaw in the hands is a small portion of missing lume on the main minute hand.

Movement:
The service history on this landeron 48 movement is unknown but it has been running smoothly and keeps well enough time that I do not notice much of a problem while wearing it for a day. All chronograph functions work very nicely, no chronograph creep on this one, it resets right back to zero on both hands. Sorry as I do not have a movement picture at this time.
