Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]

: For sale is a very well cared for Zenith cal. 156 oversized 38mm
: (40mm with crown) chronograph in 18kt rose gold from the 1950s
: with a lovely aged overall color. I took the pictures in low
: light because of the gold glare with brighter lighting. Will
: send you whatever lighting you want by email.

: Dial is really unbelievable with no degradation whatsoever, creamy
: color matching the rose gold, not stark white on some
: references. Crisp font in blue and black, base 1000 scale, with
: no loss of any kind to any letter or number on the entire dial.
: Applied Zenith hr markers, 12 and 6 oclock numbers and 5pt star
: really pops.

: There is one tiny spot on the dial, just north of the 7hr marker
: and southeast of the 23 sec left subdial. Its a micro dot, of no
: consequence at all and if this does bother you and you rate this
: watch unworthy of saying "mint" or flawed, not
: investment grade, then just pass on by.

: Hands are obviously all original and still in great condition, with
: bright blueing.

: Case is previously lightly polished, but has not lost the sharp
: edges of the lugs underneath or the contoured edges on top of
: the lugs, which are still very original intent. A few indentions
: on one of the lugs from adjustments, but underneath and only
: visible from underneath. There should be a matte type finish
: running down the middle of the case, but on the non-crown side
: its slightly polished, yet on the crown side, you can still see
: the matte finish, which is because its hard to polish the crown
: side. That gives you an indication of how much polishing overall
: was done, which is not much. Also the hallmark on the non-crown
: side in the middle of the case would be missing if over
: polished, which clearly its not.

: Bracelet is a Best Quality period correct rose gold plated.
: Slightly smaller width at the lugs for a reason, because this
: watch also has its original 1950s spring bars, which have one
: retractable end that slips over the little nipples present
: inside the lugs, very unreal for being 60yrs old. This bracelet
: gives easy access to these bar types and keeps you from snapping
: off the nipples.

: Movement is in house Zenith 156 and runs perfectly. Serviced in
: March of last year by Lewis Watch Co. in Australia, where I was
: living at the time. Check him out on Instagram. Chrono starts
: and stops in the smoothest quality possible way and the crown
: winding is something you need to experience to understand what I
: mean. I think Zenith made some of the best chronograph movements
: ever hands down, much better than valjoux in my opinion.

: Watch is located in London, with international shipping to any
: destination is free with insurance and signature. Paypal friends
: and family or bank transfer. You can pay in USD, EUR or GBP.
: Plenty of references and my IG is @continentalwatchsociety - if
: you see something you like on my IG account it may be for sale
: too.

: Price: 3200 USD, 2900 EUR, 2500 GBP - thank you very much for
: looking!
