Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]

FS: Have a 17mm lugs Speedking or Bubbleback? Try this BoR look.

This 1940s Rolex Oyster Speedking has 17mm lugs, making it challenging when it comes to finding nice steel straps. The width and weight of this Beads of Rice band is just perfect for this midsize 30mm watch, elegant yet not overpowering.

Another nice feature about this Beads of Rice band is that you can use it on a fixed-lugs watch because the end tubes have a C-shape with a slight opening accessible from the back, to pry open a bit and slip over solid lug bars. Nice option for a military watch model. I have these with 17mm, 17.3mm for many 1960s 11/16-inch lug watches, 17.6mm or 18mm ends. Perfect gradual taper of the links to 17mm wide before the end pieces. Difficult to find straight-end BoR bands in special sizes like this.

Great quality New Old Stock 1960s/70s Beads of Rice band, signed on the back of the clasp “100% Stainless Steel.” Available in Short, Regular or Long Length versions. The Regular Length band is 5 7/8 inches (14.7cm) and it sizes down to 5 1/8 inches (13cm) with the gradual adjustments in the clasp. You can shorten it even more by removing links, which is easy to do on these BoR bands. Clasp is 17.6mm wide. Links are 3.3mm thick. Bands weigh about 35-39 grams.

Price $250.

SHORT VERSION $225: Length is 5 1/4 inches (13.5cm) fully extended and sizes down to 4 1/2 inches (11.5cm) with the adjustments in the clasp.

LONG VERSION $295: Length is 6 3/4 inches (17.3cm) fully extended and sizes down in increments with the adjustments in the clasp to 6 inches (15.3cm).

U.S. shipping/tracking is $6.99. International buyers please add $35 for Registered First Class delivery (delivery in 12-15 days) or $65 for EMS Express (arrives in 5-7 days).
