Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]

FS: Early Heuer Autavia 2446C GMT, Ghost Bezel

Hard to list another one from the flock, but the consolidation continues. Up for sale is a top-tier example of an early Autavia 2446C GMT (http://thoughts.onthedash.com/thoughts/2446c-and-2446c-gmt/). See below for condition details:

Case / Bezel: Case is very sharp, retaining it's original compressor case beveled edges (I believe it to be unpolished). The caseback also retains it's markings, which is somewhat of a rarity in and of itself. Pushers on early cases were round rather than fluted, so these may be later replacements. Bezel is gorgeously faded and complements the patina quite well. Serial is 1299XX.

Dial / Handset: Mk I dial and hands are in fantastic shape with perfectly matching lume. I'd encourage any potential buyers who are new to 2446C GMTs to compare this example against others - often the hands exhibit different shades and the GMT hand has discolored as well, so this is truly a stand-out example. The hour hand has a minor crack in the lume, which is not even visible in these pictures (wanted to at least acknowledge it).

Movement: This Autavia is powered by a Valjoux 72 and all functions work correctly (chronograph starts, stops, and resets as it should) / the watch is keeping great time. I purchased the watch about two years ago from another collector and have not had it serviced, so although everything works perfectly, a full service is eventually recommended. Watch is sold as-is.

Accessories: The watch will be provided head-only - if a strap is necessary, we can discuss.

My price is $12,500 including overnight shipping with payment via direct bank wire. US sale strongly preferred. Face-to-face in Chicago is also welcome for local buyers. Finally, I have plenty of references available as a buyer and seller that I can provide if necessary. I can be reached via PM or at bazamuwatches@gmail.com.
