FS: Heuer 3249 Up/Down chronograph *PIC*

Extremely rare Heuer 3249 with the 2Heuer2 logo. This chronograph has been produced in the 1940's. For a long time things have been unclear when it came to early Heuer chronographs using the Venus 170 movement. There was speculation that these chronographs were produced for military use, other collectors stated that Heuer never produced watches with the 2Heuer2 dial. Lately pictures from original Heuer catalogi have emerged and cleared things up once and for all, as it lists the up down 2Heuer2 Telemetre chronograph, with reference 3249. Different dial configurations are known. This one has a white arabic numeral dial with 2 vertically placed chrono registers. The dial shows discoloration at the 12 o'clock position. However the dial has not been refinished and therefore remains in its original condition. Although the dial shows some damage, this is the cleanest and most beautiful example we have ever encountered. This watch is an absolute must for early Heuer collectors. 34 mm steel casing with beautiful teardrop pushers, and elegant curved lugs. Blued steel hands in perfect condition. Overal the watch has a very elegant appearance. The Venus 170 movement is serviced and in perfect condition. The watch is delivered on a black ostrich strap with an original steel Heuer Buckle.
