Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. FS: Bulova US Officer WW2 *PIC*

Watch Bulova B1 Watch WW2
Year 1940s
Dial The dial is original and shows a great patina. The railroad tracks are well engraved on the dial and radium plot are still visible.
Case Stainless steel case is in excellent conditions. The caseback shows the inscription « ORD DEPT OF USA », characteristic of watches ordered by the US in that case before the 2nd World War
Hands Hands and crown are in the typical art deco style and the patina matches perfectly the dial
Diameter 32mm without crown
Movement Hand winding
Strap Original green army force strap stitched around the fixed lugs

The diameter is smaller than army watches from similar period, and as all military timepieces, the story about it is extraordinary. This Bulova watch is a relic of the D-Day which happened in Normandy, France. Following the end of war the officer swapped this watch against a case of Calvados. The owner kept it in his house of Normandy until I get it from his son.

1,400€ (payment by bank wire only) + shipping

Please ask all your questions and for more pictures if need be. I do not accept any return as I am selling my collection
