FSOT: Heuer Autavia 2446 Transitional Screw Back

Good morning!

Up for sale/trade today is this Heuer Autavia 2446 Transitional, which is a rare reference that came after the 1st case/2nd dial and before the 2nd case/3rd dial (the “Rindt” Autavia). For those that are unaware, this Transitional Autavia is a screw back case and runs on a Valjoux 72. I am not certain of how many pieces were made of this reference, but it is far fewer than the 3rd Execution Rindt.

Two main things that make this reference unique and rare are the lugs, which are missing the bevelled edge, that is common in the 1st/2nd exec screw back cases. The second distinction is the wider bezel which is the same as the 1st execution case but with no lume at the 12 marker.

I am open to selling this piece, but haven't the slightest clue on how to price it "fairly", so you are welcome to make an offer for cash sale or trade. Trade wise, I am open to hearing what you may have, and for the right watch, I am happy to put cash on top if need be. Or if you have multiple pieces you want to trade for this beauty, send over what you have and let's see what can be done.

Some trades that I would love to look at (in no particular order):

1) Omega Speedmaster - Not going to list specific references, but rare and mint condition ones preferably. I'm not a big fan of the modern pieces, but would love to pickup a Snoopy and/or Ultraman

2) Universal Geneve Nina/Evil Nina/Exotic

3) Rolex Explorer 1016

4) Heuer Carrera 1158 CHN

5) Heuer Carrera 2447NS

6) Zenith A386

If you need more info or pictures, feel free to send me an email. References are available on request.

I am located in Los Angeles, but am able to ship from EU if you prefer!

Thanks Jeff and CT for the space!
Cheers
Carlo
