FS: Heuer Carrera 2447SN

Over the next few months, I will be selling some Carrera's............ and might as well start with a 2447SN. I am the second owner, having bought this from a fellow in Scotland about five years ago. The watch was in fair shape (dial - bad, case/hands/movement - okay to good). The first owner was given the watch by his girlfriend in the late 60's and wore it a for a few years. Jump, a couple decades later and he wants to wear it again, but his wife said get rid of it. Why, because the caseback is inscribed from "that girlfriend" and it is ugly. He decides not to fight her and contacts me. I get some pics and wonder if a dial could be found, Made some contacts, did some hunting and begging !!
This took about a month and then purchased the watch and had it sent to Belgium for a stay with Abel Court. See, Abel had agreed to sell me his NOS dial...no better place for a spa treatment and face lift. Abel's masterful work combined with the technical expertise of Mark Moss, brought me my SN after a few months.

Dial - mint, and all lume dots in place (see pics). Patina of both dial and hands are very nice. If there is a better SN dial, please let me know.
Hands - very good original minute and hour, chronograph hands replaced by AC.
Case - very good and serial number of 104716 and 2447 clearly visible between lugs. Signed crown that came with watch when I got it. Case has been polished in the past.
Caseback - good and inscription gone. Abel removed the inscription, but I wish I had been smarter and kept it.
Movement - was serviced by Abel five years ago and Craig Bergsma 2-3 years ago. It does wind tight, but keeps very good time and chrono hands reset to zero.

The watch is being sold with it's original dial included. I will not separate, so please do not ask, as it will not happen.....New owner can do as they please, but under my care they stay together. I have tried to explain in words and pics the watch and if you have any questions or need any further pics, please let me know.
My price is $14,500 via bank wire or check (No Paypal) and shipping in CONUS included. I will consider shipping anywhere at additional cost.
Please have references and I can do the same, might search OTD "Brook" to see my posts over the years.
My best price is your best offer. If you have a trade, no thank you, unless it is something I cannot live without..

All the best,

Brook Tolman
