The Quickest "Telltales"
In Response To: Yes. ()

Some easy telltales.

-- On these Carreras in the relatively early C-Shape cases, whether automatic models (Ref 1153, etc.) or manual-wind (as shown), the inner bezel should contrast with the dial. So the dark dial has a white bezel and the light dial has the dark bezel.

-- The movement should be marked

-- The hands are wrong

So the value of this watch is the value of the parts; probably considerably less than the seller is asking.

: Hi, in short yes it is.

: Longer version-

: -incorrect hands, pushers, caseback (case also?), tachy ring,
: movement, crown possibly. Price for parts? Seems pretty
: expensive for what it is in my opinion.

: Best, Steve
