In Response To: Re: Heuer Camaro Servicing ()

I agree, as always, with the recommendations from Steve . . . the guy knows a thing or two about the Camaros.

As a point of emphasis, many watchmakers or jewelry shops like to polish / re-finish / re-touch the case, but you should avoid anything that will take away from the original finish of the metal. So cleaning is OK, but do not go any further than that. The Camaro is an especially intricate case, and any attempt to refinish it will likely diminish the value of the watch. Remember -- they are only original once.

Good luck with it and thanks for your posting here.

: Hi Scott-I think we spoke briefly about the Camaro on IG in April?

: Overall it looks in very good condition and in no way should
: anything be polished or tampered with externally! Certainly the
: movement can be serviced and the case CLEANED but, again, NOT
: polished. The crystal seems to be Ok too from what I can see.

: In the UK and for me, this should only really go to Richard Askham
: at http://thewatchspotblog.com/ . There are 2 others very
: highly regarded too-

: Nic Green http://chronomatic.com/home.html
: Stefan https://vintagewatchfever.co.uk/

: although I've personally only used Richard so far though.

: Hope that helps!
: Best, Steve
