Re: Autavias -- Big, Bigger, Even Bigger and Bigge

Good job Jeff,

Very interesting subject.
I'm doing a little research myself (trial and error kind of research) and I believe there are differences in the cases of the same models too. For example, I have concluded that not all 11630s have exactly the same case. There are little differences in many aspects ranging from case finish, caseback shape, overall hight, mineral glass thickness and more...

Thanks for the photos, they are great...

Btw, that 11630 was a real bargain, congrats, that and a Montreal that went for like 400euro...

: We are planning to add some information to
: OnTheDash regarding the measurements of the
: various Autavias, and here is a preview - -
: - four of the 1970's / 1980's Autavias, with
: different case sizes.

:

: Sizes increase from left to right, we see the
: 73363 (Manual wind; military version) 1163V
: (Viceroy) 11630 (continuation of Viceroy)
: 113.603 (Military)
: These cases are four distinct sizes. Measuring
: the thickness of the case (from the back of
: the case to the top surface of the bezel),
: they range from 13mm to almost 15mm, a
: considerable difference.
