In Response To: Re Edition Carrera's ()

Seeking a little advice on the Re Edition Carrera's. When they first were issued the dials were very similar to the originals as well as the face and hands, albeit the face read only Heuer.

Yup...

When did they put Carrera back onto the dial and are these hard to find.

It seems that they put the Carrera back on the dial when they switched to the ETA/D-D movement which was earlier this year or late last year. The older Re-Edition's (with the Lemania 1873) have been getting progressively more difficult to find, as they are no longer in production and only a finite number made.

And what would a ballpark be regarding purchase and finding one. (Other than EBay).

I havn't seen enough of them sell on eBay lately to have a real good idea as to what they are going for. I'd expect in the $1,000~1,200 range. As for where to fine one aside from eBay? You'll have to search the Internet dealer circuit (Feel free to use my watch links page accessable via a link on my article index link below). Expect to pay more from an Internet dealer than on eBay though.

Thanks in advance,Mark.

Hope this helps!
