Sorry -- Not Joining the "Gallery of Fakes"

While this would certainly be in the Top Ten (or maybe the Top Three) if I were doing a "Gallery of Alltime Bull***t Ebay Listings", I don't think the chronograph qualifies for the Gallery of Fakes. Remember that I am only looking at the watches themselves, not the lies that may be told and misrepresentations that may be made in an ebay listing or any other sales effort.

Maybe the watch is a fake; I am not sure; I know that Heuer made some that look very similar to this one, but I don't know enough about this model to be certain that is a fake. If others know more, please post the details.

In any case, the ebay description is hilarious. You gotta' really feel sorry for the seller -- he paid $8500 for it at a charity auction and the bidding on the auction now stands at $142.50. Let's just hope that it was a worthy charity.

Thanks for pointing it out to us.

Jeff

: I have to nominate this to the fakes hall of

: Worth checking for the story behind why the
