I was the seller of the GMT on german Ebay, after the auction closed, I received 3 further mails from collectors who asked if there is any further Autavia GMT in my collection I'd be willing to sell. Glad this rare, colourful and nice Autavia model has made the step into the group of the hot Heuers.
Please excuse me if I am too direct, but i.m.h.o. I think the forum is not the place to have indiscreet discussions about prices of ongoing or just passed auctions.
Sure, if someone asks about the value of his fathers Carrera, we give him a price, further there surely is a need for the discussion of frankenwatches, fakes and crooks, but putting the focus on highly respected forum-members purchases is pretty uncool and indiscreet.
Please remember, many of the recently paid highscrore heuer prices where paid by heuer collectors who frequently contribute some pictures or articles to this forum.
