How much winding should a Cal.15 Heuer require?

As I mentioned elsewhere here, I've recently acquired a Cal.15 Carrera. I've been wearing it fairly constantly for a day or two, and this morning I decided to try out the Chronograph function. All fine but the whole thing stopped (time as well) after about 11 minutes, while I was still wearing the watch and moving about. As soon as I reset the chrono, it restarted.

Surely the chrono shouldn't drain the power reserve this quickly! Any thoughts - I'm presuming a service may be in order....
