Finally !! - I have both
In Response To: 1000 series green face tag ()

Well, actually I have the Stainless Steel Tag-Heuer 1000 series with the luminous face & my brother owns the black Heuer version.

His came without a bracelet & he chose that disgusting bracelet with (fake) gold in it.

Before I start, please excuse the picture quality, I had a really crap digital Camera at the time & these pics were hurridly taken just before a "Friday night Bonding session" between me & afore mentioned brother.

Here's a comparison of the dials

The Heuer is noticeably thicker as you can see in the following picture

& this is all due to a completely different rear cover.

I once took the back off both & was surprised to find they have different movements in them. ( I wrote down the Info, but have lost it somewhere ). I believe the dates are on (at least one of) the movements.

I have no idea as to the current value, as usual I bought mine cheap ( secondhand, about 10 years ago ) but it came with the box & all papers.

I have dived with mine & it is an excellent dive watch very easy to read, despite its relative small size.

& although ( as a mechanical watch fan ) it pains me to say, it is probably my most accurate watch !

It is also rates very high in my list of favourite watches & gets a lot more wrist time than most of my (Omega) collection.

Steve
