Advice on Dato 12 please

Out of the blue, I received an e-mail from someone offering me this Dato. It's one of my favourite Heuers so obviously I'm tempted. On the down side, it's not running. According to the present owner it was running until about 5 years ago when he stopped wearing it, and now it is wound tight. Judging by the not very clear picture the date hand seems to be damaged (the half moon is not symmetrical). Are these still available, or is it possible to repair this? Finally, what would be a fair price to pay for a watch like this?

Thanks, Ron.
