Tag Heuer or Heuer

I have just bought a second hand Tag Heuer 2000 Automatic professional chronograph watch with 3 sub dials Model 172.006
On the back case there is only the SWISS SINCE 1860 HEUER motif not Tag Heuer the face does have the Tag Heuer motif inside the rear of the back case there is HEUER –LEONIDAS SA BREVET+503305 and some other minor number markings
On the movement there is no actual Tag or Heuer motif stamp that I can see
The only markings I can find are these a stamp that looks like an old telephone just underneath is 2892-2
On the auto wind rotor there is LWO 283 FORTY 40 JEWELS UNADJUSTED SWISS
Can any one give me any back ground information on this model I:E how old is it a heuer movement etc
Or have I been sold a dud
Looking forward to any feed back
