Mountain Pass / French (Jura) Region / Switzerland
In Response To: what is/does the ..... ()

A quick, but confusing, Google search tells me that Marchairuz is a mountain pass in the Jura area / canton of Switzerland. I believe that Swiss watchmaking began in the Jura region, and is still very active there today.

I'm not sure why Marchairuz was memorialized on the dial of this Lemania chronograph. Trophy for ski race? Headquarters for Lemania? Probably something entirely different.
