When the seller says:

No box. No papers. Not guaranteed authentic. No problem. The watch will go for sub $100. BUT when the slime says "I bought it an estate sale" or "I received it as a gift and don't like the looks" and it's an OBVIOUS fake, I have a HUGE problem. Especially when the watch gets into the range of the real thing.

: In simplest terms, the reason that I publish
: information about the "fakes" is
: to help collectors in making informed
: decisions. Most of the fakes that I get
: interested in are the Heuers (pre-TAG).
: Helping TAG-Heuer or ebay is a secondary
: benefit . . . to me, helping other
: collectors is the more worthwhile objective.
