Re: Monaco McQueen cheat !
In Response To: Monaco McQueen cheat ! ()

Must be a wonderfull addition to a collection,
have few questions, is there actually any proof that Mr. Mcqueen ever touched one of the two watches ?The back sticker is quite fragile and disappears as we all know quickly.
Mr. Mcqueen wore even through part of the making of the film a rolex submariner ( believe 5512 but hard to say), who then wore his watch after the film as brace was missing in the auction.
From sources believe to know that at least 25-50 Monacos were given to the filming crew and various racing drivers and organisators of the race which would definetly make sense from Heuer as they wanted to promote the watch... Does anybody know more ?
What looks interesting is that there are no serial numbers and dates in guarantee certificate but sold to le mans ?? The property manager said that he only had two watches, one for SM and one as a backup hence interesting is that there appears to be a third one and why did Mr. Mcqueen not keep one of these watches ?
Looking forward to your feedback
Best regards
MH
