Seller being mislead by associates or unscrupulous?
In Response To: Real or Fake ()

I too sent this e-bay seller a note regarding the "Autavia" he is selling. I informed him that Heuer never sold an Autavia in that watch case and here is his reply:

"This watch has been inspected by a certified master watch maker as well as a highly esteemed vintage watch expert. Both agreed that this watch is 100% authentic. I am not sure where you acquired this opinion on the watch but it is based on false information. Thank you very much for your concern though.

Well, he is either being mislead by his watchmaker and vintage "expert" or he is simply an unscrupulous seller. I wonder which he is?
