Thank God for that...

I spotted it 3-4 hrs ago, and then saw the USD2-3k expected price.. My heart skipped a (massive) beat, and I frantically tried to register for the auction, all sweaty palms! But I couldn't, as registration had closed. I fired off a desparate email to the admin people, and was sent an absentee bid form. But I didn't go through with it, as I would have to pay 20% VAT to get it to the UK, and the 25% buyers fee, then shipping etc.

I was dreading someone coming on here and saying that it went for $2k, and I'd be kicking myself/headbutting the wall.

So, $20k, plus $5k buyers fee.. 25k wow, that's nuts, seriously nuts.
Achingly beautiful watch though.
