Re: Instructions - Heuer Automatic Chronograph

Great question. I bought one of these off of eBay and did not realize the difference until I received it. The eBay seller seems to be selling these books frequently and it seems that they have a unlimited supply, b/c I keep seeing it posted every few weeks. I too am curious to know the authenticity of this book.

: Wondering if anyone has any knowledge on the following variant of
: the Auto Chronograph instructions? I haven't seen this exact
: version in the OTD Guide and I had previously made a calculated
: guess that they were produced between the '72 and '83 versions
: (I have seen them coupled with Heuers originally sold prior to
: 1980). Clearly, it has a front-cover layout more similar to the
: '83 but with the 'World wide service' wording of the '72 and
: similar back cover (although in five languages).

: A bigger question is whether these are even genuine/commonly faked
: - the attached images are of an example I own and have had
: someone claim it was a fake/photocopy (from the photos alone!).
: Either way it would be interesting to know.
