Countdown Colors on the Skipper

As we see from this photo on Henrik's site . . .

Early version (on the left) had the countdown colors, Red - White - Blue

Later version (on the right) used the countdown colors, White - Blue - Red

I believe that the later approach (white, blue, red) corresponded to the flags used at the start of a regatta (under prevailing rules), so this change in the colors may have represented a correction by Heuer. Other watch brands used a variety of colors for their regatta countdown watches.
