Re: How Many of Us Saw the Black PVD Monaco Sell this Mornin *PIC*

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the great auction report. I'm a fan of the first execution Carreras an had an eye on the one 2447S, but I like the black ones even more ;) I've also had this on my radar: http://www.chrono24.at/heuer/carrera-12--id3024324.htm

The seller asked EUR 5k for it. It was "reserved" within a few days, so I guess whoever was interested in this example recognized the low serial number as well and was willing to pay a premium price. In my eyes a very nice example except the inner bezel looks strange.

: Three interesting Heuers were sold at auction this morning,
: including this Black PVD Moanco (at $35,500).

: Here's my Report on the Auctions , which also included a beautiful
: Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer and an early Carrera Reference
: 2447S.

: My question (asked privately by a couple of readers) -- How do we
: explain the lack of discussion on our forum? Did the Black PVD
: Monaco go "under the radar" or did we avoid discussion
: because of the "cat and mouse" aspect of these
: auctions?

: In any event, let's discuss it now!!

: Jeff
