Let's hope it's not going to detract from mechanical watches

I won't hold my breath for this one - either by TH or anyone else. And I am afraid it will be a crowded market with lots of big players.
I think I'm not going to touch a smartwatch even with a barge pole...even quartz has been off limits to me after I started wearing my first mechanical watch.
Hopefully this won't take any focus away from mechanical watches at TH. Personally, this effort to broaden one's scope to other products outside watchmaking (phones, jewelry, eyewear etc.) is something I do not like.
