Heuer Shield Logo Discrepancy - 40's Valjoux 69 Heuers

Hi Everyone,

I have recently taken an interest in small 1940's Heuers powered by valjoux 69 movements and need some help from the experts.

There is one here on our favorite auction site:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/extremely-rare-small-Heuer-Chronograph-with-Valjoux-69-movement-from-40ies-/221669474966

and also one here from a well-known seller in Miami.

Both of these have the "squished" Heuer logo on the dial but the modern "taller" Heuer shield on the bridge of the movement. Is this discrepancy between dial and bridge normal? Or should I assume the bridges or the movements themselves were replaced at some point?

Using the search function, I found the following thread, where a similar valjoux69 chronograph has "Ed Heuer Co" engraved on the bridge. In my mind this one is correct, since the catalog scans for these watches are printed with "Ed Heuer Co" (not the modern Heuer shield logo) at the bottom of the catalog:

and here is a thread with a catalog scan

Any thoughts/opinions on authenticity would be highly appreciated.

Best Regards
George
