Here is an example I had (now sold). These are well made watches but suffer the same fate as all the PVD coated watches from this time - cosmetics suffer with wear.
Mine was branded KONI. I never figured out what exactly this name referred to. My Finnish relations tell me it means "machine" and that their lift manufacturer is called Koni but my suspicion’s are that its related to a US based car parts manufacturer, mainly exhausts. It was and is an entry level piece and a good stating point.
