Quality / Placement of the Printing Makes Me Doubtful
In Response To: And if it were genuine? ()

Visible damage to the dial, and poor quality / placement of the printing on the dial, make me skeptical that this can be original / produced by (or for) Heuer.

I do appreciate your questioning the suggestion that this is fake, but it still does not look right to me.

: Jeff,

: at a first glance i could agree with you.

: But... giving a deep look i can't assume it's definitely not
: original:

: The "Heuer" shield and the "Automatic
: Chronograph" printings are 100% genuine, no doubts.
: So just the white registers should have been reprinted.

: Again, who is the crazy guy that takes off all the steel indexes
: for reprinting just the registers,
: leaving an outer track so damaged from water, and then fits again
: all the indexes?
: Nearly impossible in my humble opinion.

: Can't it be another "never seen before" execution? Should
: not be the first time!
